The Senses

July 17th, 2026

Sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch, hunger, thirst, pain, itching, cold, heat, are some of these senses. See more detailed opinions by reading what Capstone offers on the topic.. Perception of our state of mind: our feelings or sensations allow us to perceive the emotional states in our minds. For other opinions and approaches, find out what Progress Residential Atlanta has to say. The joy, sadness, affection, hatred, desire, surprise, boredom, disappointment, fear, melancholy, are some of these feelings or sensations. Formulation of hypothesis (induction): Our mind creates beliefs making assumptions based on the perceptions held by the senses, sensations and feelings, establishing relationships of cause and effect. For example, watch the lighting of a lamp after pressing a button, can lead to the assumption that the ignition of the lamp is a result of pressing that button.

It then creates a belief based on that observation. Contrast of assumptions (the principle of contradiction): our argument works using the principle of non- contradiction, that is, something can not be and not be at the same time. None of our actions would be meaningless if we do not consider this principle. It would not make sense to buy a product if that heals us and we will not cure a disease. If the drug cure, then it is best to buy it, if we do not cure, then it is best to save money and not buy it, but there is no logical action that may be decided from the belief that medicine heals us and same time does not cure. There is no logical action that may be decided based on the assumption that something is and is not at the same time.
